“Clear I was for sale” – Hull City player speaks about club’s attempts to get rid of him

Hull City attacker Kamil Grosicki has spoken to the Polish media about his situation with the Championship side during the summer.
The Poland international looked on the verge of leaving Hull City in the last window but a transfer didn’t materialise for a player who has been cursed by failed deals.
In an interview with Sportowefakty, Grosicki was asked why he wasn’t involved in his country’s internationals last month: “My situation at the club was one big unknown. I resumed training at Hull City on August 1st, one week before the Championship began. From the beginning of the new season at the club everyone treated me like a player who will leave soon.
“It was clear that I was for sale. In the middle of the month, I was told that I would not play in the team again. Nobody wanted to risk my injury knowing that it could thwart any transfer. I forwarded this information to the trainer (Poland) Brzęczek.”
Grosicki looked to be leaving Hull City, and at one stage Turkish side Bursaspor was on the cards. The Pole even confirmed he’d flown to Turkey to complete his move to the Super Lig side.

However, Grosicki revealed last month that Sporting tried to sign him on deadline day, a move he said he would have preferred.
Understandably, he wasn’t happy and explained in September: “From the information I received from the manager at Sporting, Hull offered a better offer than Turks, so I did not see any obstacles preventing it from happening. That is why the end is shocking for me. The English agreed to accept the worse offer from Bursa, and the better of Lisbon wasn’t accepted.”
The 30 year old has now played in five Championship games so far this season, picking up 194 minutes.
