Yerry Mina speaks to Colombian radio – Raves about Everton ‘family’, fans, president, kitman

Everton defender Yerry Mina spoke to Colombian outlet Radio Caracol on Thursday.
After making his first start for the club in the friendly against Gor Mahia this week, the player is now ready for 90 minutes in the Premier League against Chelsea this weekend, as Kurt Zouma will be ineligible for the match.
“We have to wait for the moment, I arrived at a complicated moment due to injuries and my teammates in centre defence are doing well,” Mina told Radio Caracol (via Marca).
“Now it’s time to wait for the moment and when I get there, take advantage of it.
“I’m already a hundred percent and I’m enjoying every day, I’m learning from my teammates.”

As Mina is known for being a player who’s always smiling, you couldn’t expect a negative answer for him when speaking about his life. That’s when talking about his move to the city of Liverpool, he could only say good things about it.
“It’s exciting as fans encourage their team and I feel really good about how they treated me. Everton are a good team and the group we have is a family, has very good structure. From executives, even from the president to the kitman, we are all a family.”
Mina ended the interview saying how glad he was to be talking to his compatriots: “I am happy to be able to communicate with all Colombians, I try to transmit joy despite the moments of difficulty.”
The Colombian media has been giving huge coverage to Mina’s steps at Everton. They cover every one of Marco Silva’s press conferences to say if Mina will be available for the match or not, and even had a live stream of the friendly this week, just to show the player’s first start for the club.
