According to Fotomac, Stoke City defender Bruno Martins Indi has told club officials he wants to sign for Besiktas.
We covered initial claims from Turkey that the Super Lig side are interested in signing the Dutch defender as they look to strengthen their squad before the start of the new season.
Sabah have also reported on Besiktas’ pursuit of the Stoke City player and claim the Black Eagles have reached an agreement with the Championship side. It’s reported they will sign the central defender for €4m and the deal should be made official in the coming days.
However, according to Orta Cizgi, Stoke City are demanding £7m and the Turkish club are only looking to loan the player, with an option to buy.
Besiktas manager Abdullah Avci wants to sign a left-sided defender before the transfer deadline and the 27 year old looks to be an option. Orta Cizgi say Avci is behind the pursuit of the former FC Porto player.
The player is contracted to the Championship side until June 2022.
