Player ‘doesn’t want to stay’ with Middlesbrough, and club trying to get fee down

Middlesbrough striker Martin Braithwaite is being disputed by a couple of Spanish sides, according to the local media on Friday.
Newspaper Marca has a story claiming that besides the interest from Leganes, who had the player on loan for the past few months, Getafe have joined the race to sign him permanently as well.
Marca makes it pretty clear that Braithwaite ‘doesn’t want to stay’ at Middlesbrough, and could even be cheaper than expected.
It’s claimed that the Championship side were initially demanding €8m for the transfer, but a deal could be found for ‘something less’.

Marca claims that Getafe are considered to be ‘unexpected competitors’, so Leganes should now have a lot more difficulty to get the signing.
Braithwaite scored eight goals and made seven assists in 40 appearances for Leganes this year. He was quick securing a place in the starting team, so it’s no wonder the club are fighting to keep him now.
