Next few days ‘very hot’ on Manchester United transfer – Thursday meeting hurries outgoing deal

The next few days will be ‘very hot’ in Romelu Lukaku’s mini transfer saga, report Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter Milan very much want the player, he fancies the move too, and it seems apparent Manchester United won’t stand in the striker’s way if someone gets close enough to their asking price.
A meeting held in London on Thursday between the Premier League club and Inter has hurried things up. The ice has been broken, and it’s claimed United are now open to the idea of a ‘deferred payment’.
This is essential for Inter, because they haven’t got the liquidity required to pay everything in one go.
Gazzetta say Inter are now close to making an official offer, which would see Manchester United get €60m ‘safe’. That means a guarantee of those funds, before any bonuses.
An upfront payment of €20m would be made, plus a further €20m next summer, and the same again in 2021. There would be bonuses which could see that rise to €65-70m.
However, Gazzetta suggest this won’t be enough, and that Inter know as much, so this would simply be an opening official offer.
