Manchester United prepare offer and club will accept payment in instalments

Manchester United are reportedly set to outbid Tottenham Hotspur in the race for the Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
Newspaper Correio da Manhã (see the end of the article for their other recent claims on this transfer) claims today that the Red Devils are preparing an offer of over €75m, which is bigger than what the Spurs were planning to bid.
The offer would be €60m initially, plus the rest in performance bonuses. Some bonuses are more simple, like a number of wins in the Premier League, although Fernandes would also have to win the Ballon D’Or for the full amount to be paid.
Correio da Manhã adds that Sporting would accept to receive the payment in several instalments, which is ‘common’ in this type of deal.

Manchester United’s new attempt to sign Bruno has also been reported by newspaper Record today. They claimed that due to Tottenham Hotspur’s wait in making an offer to sign the midfielder, United are now tempted to ‘insist’ on the transfer a little bit.
It’s claimed the competition for the player is the reason why things have been taking so long to be sorted.
Back to Correio da Manhã, on June 9th they reported Tottenham were in the lead but needed to hurry because Manchester United and Liverpool were ‘stalking’ the situation.
On June 13th, they claimed a move to Old Trafford ‘appeals’ to the player, and the club ‘can ‘advance’ to make the signing.
