Man United have made ‘important offer’- ‘impatiently waiting for news’ over youngster’s transfer

Back in January, it was claimed Manchester United had made an offer for AS Monaco’s Hannibal Mejbri.
His father confirmed as much once the deadline had passed, making it clear he and his son were looking for a summer transfer exit from Leonardo Jardim’s side.
Fast forward to Thursday, and Manchester United are still on the case, as revealed by RMC Sport, who explain the youngster’s situation.
According to the French outlet, Mejbri’s family have kicked off a process towards cancelling their contract with Monaco, bringing it up with the French league’s legal committee as they felt the ‘private agreement between player and club should not be approved and must be broken’.

The 16-year-old is currently contract until 2021, and Monaco aren’t prepared to give up, ‘confident’ of the deal’s ‘legitimacy’.
RMC also explain the player hasn’t turned up to training for the past three weeks, with the relationship between the family and the club now ‘hateful’.
Down their end, Manchester United are ‘impatiently waiting for news’, having made the player the aforementioned ‘important offer’.
The French outlet finish their article by stating ‘concrete discussions’ have been taking place between Mejbri’s family and the Red Devils ‘for several months’.
