La Liga player’s agent has ‘received phone call’ from Man United – Club aren’t against a sale

Should the Pablo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku swap happen, where does that leave Wissam Ben Yedder?
That’s the question ABC in Sevilla ask themselves on Tuesday as the Premier League transfer window nears its conclusion.
The belief, at least in Spain, has been that if Manchester United got rid of the Belgian, another striker would come in, and the France international was on that list.
At €40m (his release clause), he would cost half of what Lukaku is supposedly worth, also fitting into how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to play more than the former Everton star.
This logic was also applied in France, where Lyon’s Moussa Dembélé is seen as a target for the Old Trafford club if their striker ends up in Italy, but Dybala complicates all this.

His arrival in England could mean the end of the hunt for an attacking reinforcement, thus there being little need for Ben Yedder.
ABC explain the player’s agent, Meissa Ndiaye, received a phone call from United regarding his client, joining Paris Saint-Germain in enquiring about the 28-year-old.
Rejecting an alluring transfer to China, Ben Yedder made it clear he wanted to continue playing at the highest level, and it’s stated Sevilla wouldn’t be against a sale if it presented itself.
The €40m would allow them to ‘level out’ their bank balance this summer, and give them some funds to spend on a winger they like in Steven Bergwijn.
First, however, the game of ‘dominoes’ has needs to kick off in the forward market, expected to do so when Lukaku leaves Manchester United, and it’s at that point we’ll know more about the Premier League side’s intentions when it comes to Ben Yedder.
