Club believe they’d be informed of Man City interest – Agent & Txiki relationship valued

Two days ago, AS reported Manchester City are willing to pay Mikel Oyarzabal’s €75m release clause, if Leroy Sane leaves the Etihad this summer.
It was also stated they’d contacted the player’s entourage.
A day later, Mundo Deportivo backed up the claims made by AS.
It was also explained the La Liga side are said to be fearful that Pep Guardiola’s side could pay the 22-year-old’s buyout clause.
Tuesday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo states La Real live in fear, especially with regards to Oyarzabal, who is an attractive target for clubs who can afford him.
However, at Sociedad, there is ‘no indication’ yet that City will pay the €75m release clause, if Bayern end up acquiring Sane’s services.

In addition to this, the Spanish club have not been made aware of Oyarzabal wanting to leave the club or about Guardiola’s intention to sign him. Should there be any interest from City, the club feel they would have been informed.
Mundo states they base this argument on the excellent relationship shared between president Jokin Aperribay and the player’s agent and also the ‘good feeling’ maintained with City sporting director Txiki Begiristain.
The story appeared to be coming from the player’s camp, so perhaps they need to reassess.
